Introduction


This article will guide you through the steps required to install the LiveDDM Management Client (LMC) at your Office.  


Before installing the LMC, please ensure that all User's sign out of, and shut down, LiveDDM on all workstations.  Failure to do so may cause issues with the LMC Configuration process.


Prerequisites


Before you begin, please ensure that all items on the following list are satisfied:


  • You know the name of your LiveDDM Server
  • Ensure that you have access your LiveDDM Server, or a suitable LiveDDM Workstation, and have permission to install software
  • If installing on a machine other than the LiveDDM Server, the host machine must be able to reach the LiveDDM Server on your local network
  • You know the name of your LiveDDM SQL Server and LiveDDM Database (by default, the database name is LiveDDM)
  • You have your LiveDDM Account Number and License Number ready

Requirements


The following minimum requirements must be met on the machine you are installing the LMC on:

  • Windows 10 (version 1607+), Windows 11 (version 22000+), Windows Server (2012 R2+)
  • 64bit CPU (Intel  Core i5+ or AMD equivalent)
  • Minimum 8GB of RAM
  • 1GB free hard drive space

Installation


  1. Download the latest LiveDDM Management Client installer
  2. Download the installer onto the machine that will host the LiveDDM Management Client
  3. Execute the installer
  4. Click Next to begin
  5. Accept the End User License Agreement and click Next
  6. Click Next to accept the installation folder
  7. Click Install to install the LMC
  8. Click Close to complete the installation process


The LMC should now be installed as a service.  You must complete Configuration.


Important!  

Only install ONE instance of the LiveDDM Management Client per Office.  Running more than one instance could cause conflicts when updating data.


Configuration


In order to use the LMC, you will be required to provide configuration information.  Launch the management portal by using the  LiveDDM Management shortcut on your desktop.


LiveDDM Database


Fill in your LiveDDM SQL Server and LiveDDM Database name.  By default, the database name is set to LiveDDM.  Typically, this value should be correct.   


LiveDDM Account & Licensing


Fill in your LiveDDM Account Number and LiveDDM License Number.  Click Validate to confirm that the values you have provided are correct.


Office Settings


This section contains information from LiveDDM and is not required to complete configuration.


Save Configuration


Once you have provided the required information, you can click Save.  Configuration is now complete.
