Introduction


This article will guide you through the steps required to configure a workstation to use a Topaz Signature Pad.


Please note that the hardware and software defined in this article is the responsibility of Topaz Systems Inc.  This article is provided as a guide only and is not meant as a comprehensive support guide for issues relating to both hardware and software.

Installing Drivers


To configure your system you will need to install the SigPlus software drivers along with the appropriate Microsoft Office Plug-in.


Before you begin, you will need to know:


  1. The model of your signature pad.  This can be found on the back of your hardware.
  2. The bit level of your Microsoft Office installation (i.e., 32-bit or 64-bit)


Steps


  1. Determine if your Microsoft Office installation is 32bit or 64bit.   
    1. 32-bit:  Download SigPlus.exe
    2. 64-bit: Download SigPlus64.exe
  2. Download the Microsoft Office Plug-in
  3. Determine the hardware version of your signature pad
  4. Install the SigPlus software from Step 1
  5. Install the Microsoft Office Plug-in from Step 2
