Introduction
This article will guide you through the steps required to setup bridging between LiveDDM and 3Shape.
Prerequisites Before configuring LiveDDM, you must ensure that the Dental Desktop application is installed on the same workstation as LiveDDM. Please refer to 3Shape support for more information on what is required. For the integration with Command Line, the DentalDesktopCmd.exe executable is used. By default, it is located in: C:\Program Files\3Shape\Dental Desktop\Plugins\Three-Shape.PracticeManagementIntegration\DentalDesk-topCmd.exe If the default Dental Desktop installation path is changed (or C:\ drive is not pre-sent), it can be found using this path template: {PathToDentalDesktopInstallation}\Dental Desk-top\Plugins\ThreeShape.PracticeManagementIntegra-tion\DentalDesktopCmd.exe |
Steps
- Launch LiveDDM and sign in
- Navigate to User-> Terminal Settings
- Select the Imaging tab
- Either under Primary or Secondary do the following:
- Select 3Shape from the Imaging Software drop down
- Click Browse and find the program named DentalDesktopCmd.exe (see prerequisites above)
- Click Save
Remarks
LiveDDM integrates with 3Shape via the command line. This means that LiveDDM launches DentalDesktopCmd.exe and passes command line arguments. The arguments are as follows (where integrationId = LiveDDM Patient Id)
DentalDesktopCmd.exe -integrationId, -firstName, -lastName, -birthday
3Shape Configuration
You must configure 3Shape to allow integration via the command line. As per their documentation:
"Go to More > Settings > Practice Management Integration > Setup and click the check
box to enable the integration."
