Introduction
The Apteryx bridge in LiveDDM is used by a variety of dental imaging software packages that have re-branded it. However, under the hood they are still using Apteryx. Follow the steps below to configure the bridge.
Steps
- Ensure that LiveDDM is installed on the Workstation. Apteryx runs off of the server, so it doesn't need be installed on the Workstation.
- In LiveDDM, go to User -> Terminal Settings -> Imaging Tab
- In the drop down, pick Apteryx for the imaging bridge
- Select Browse. In the browse dialog, go to Network and find the Server that is running the imaging software.
- Next, find the share for Apteryx/Cliniview/Dentimax and browse inside of it.
- Locate and select the EXE for the imaging program.
Testing the Bridge
You can test the bridge by right-clicking on any appointment and selecting Launch Apteryx. Alternatively, you can also test the bridge from the Patient window. Select a Patient and then click the bridge icon on the tool bar.
