After Patient Signs Medical / Dental History, LiveDDM Locks Up And Shows Switch-To / Retry Dialog Box Print

Problem

LiveDDM gets stuck in a loop behavior after digitally signing and saving a medical or dental history form. Clicking anywhere in LiveDDM produces a ‘switch to/retry’ message that can not be dismissed. Users are forced to end LiveDDM using task manager, or reboot.

Cause

This is caused from a Microsoft Word dialogue box that is open behind LiveDDM and can't be seen; LiveDDM is waiting for the user to cancel it before storing the form in the database.

Resolution

To get around this, use the windows task switcher by holding ALT on the keyboard and pressing TAB once at a time (while still holding ALT) until you have the Microsoft Word icon highlighted. Let go of ALT, and the dialogue box is now available to be seen. Click on ‘cancel’ and LiveDDM will finish its work.
